Are You Missing Out?
Wow, the last time I opened my blog was more than a year ago. I felt both nostalgia and disappointment as soon as I re opened my blog. I'm happy to see all my posts and how excited I was before to share the love of God in the internet. But I was disappointed at myself for stopping for a long time. If only I kept up and wrote consistently I would have reached out to more people. Although I am convicted for not persevering in this blog there is always time to restart and God has moved me to write again. The Bible tells us that:
"The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
I will start again and hopefully be more consistent this time only by God's unending grace :)
So what's up?
I just got married two weeks ago and all I've been feeling ever since is pure joy. Have you ever had the best date ever? A day full of good conversations, laughter and amazing connection. But going home apart and dropping him/her off just breaks your heart because you just wanted to spend more time with that person. Well in marriage, the date continues at home and actually more magic happens.
The joys of marriage, if only I could express it more. We've had arguments since the wedding and we discover more of our differences everyday. I just found out that my wife is allergic to dust a couple of days ago! We were sleeping in my room, but I only visited from Canada so my room in the Philippines was not at its cleanest state so it was dusty. The next morning I found out that she got an allergic reaction and up to now she's sick. Well, now I know. I'm happily taking care of her and in spite of that, we still continuously bond amazingly.
Experiencing how beautiful God's design is for marriage made me realize that everything that He designed is awesome. Everything He created is wonderful. Everything that will happen in our lives will be wonderful "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
As long as your life is for the Lord you will get to enjoy His design for your life. Because His design for you and me, as long as we abide in Him is a life that bears love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This is the abundant life God designed for us to have! Are you living this kind of abundant life? If not, then my friend, you are missing out :)
