Time Lapse

WOW My last post was 3 years ago! Want to know what happened in those 3 years? Get ready for a time lapse, blog style: 2016: I was working at a call center - it was challenging and dreadful but I still gave it my all. I'm grateful for it! I got into a special project, so I was off the phones for 3 months! We got pregnant!! 2017: Because of said project above, I was able to move into a marketing position (a position I was really aiming for) and now I enjoy every moment of it! Had a baby boy! His name is Zachary. He's handsome. Obviously he got it from his mom. Though my wife says we have the same ears, forehead, and toenails. Also, we have the same personality and sense of humor. That's all that matter right? Jesus, my wife and Zachary - they are my greatest blessings. Sleepless nights, yes! Pure joy, yes and yes! Moved to a new place where the air is cleaner and the elevator works! It's also right above a grocery store. The best feeling is when cooki...

The Buffet

My wife and I spend most of our date nights eating out, we love it, we get to enjoy great food and have quality conversations at the same time. Recently, we went to an all you can eat restaurant where majority of their menu is deep-fried. We were excited and couldn't wait for our food to arrive. The deep -fried options were our favorite and the crispy chicken was repeatedly ordered. We ate as much as we wanted until we got full. For a moment, we were happy and satisfied but when all the cholesterol kicked in, we felt sick. Feeling guilty from what we ate, we regretted everything and learned our lesson. There is a huge gap from being full and being completely satisfied. When we are hungry and choose to eat potato chips, we become full and our appetite for real food is gone. Why go for the imitation lobster roll when someone is offering you the real one! The world has been spoon-feeding us with junk and we welcome it with open mouths. A sinful lifestyle has become the norm...

How Can I Glorify the Lord this School Year?

Who’s excited to go back to school?! This should be an exciting time for everyone. I can still remember the eagerness, Iooking forward in seeing my buddies again after the long summer vacation. For our new university students, I can still remember my first day! Oh man that was a long time ago but I can vividly remember the feeling of excitement and fear at the same time while I was entering the university the first time. That was a  start of a new chapter in my life. New teachers, new friends, new school, everything is new and honestly new can be scary sometimes. Take it from me though, it’s going to be fun! I actually met my wife the during the first day of university, so yeah everything will be fine. Unforgettable memories will start today for you guys.  No matter how you felt today at school, I hope that you never forget that you are still followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. As full time ambassadors of Christ in our respective schools, this should be the question in our...

Think About It...

Image
God can never associate Himself with sin because He is holy. Holiness can never be involved with SIN. Think about this, if you were wearing a white shirt with white pants, white socks, and white shoes, will you ever walk on muddy ground? Will you ever touch something that’s dirty? I know I wouldn't especially if I’m going to a party! Well, God is perfect and holy and it’s in His nature to never associate Himself with sin. That’s why you can see God’s wrath against it because someone who’s ultimately holy absolutely abhors sin. However, it is also explained in the Bible that God too is loving and merciful. He also unceasingly pursues us sinners to be reunited with Him, for us to acknowledge that He is Lord over our lives, and enjoy a life with His presence once again.  I’m currently reading the Old Testament and I’m in the part where God is explaining to Moses how to set up the tabernacle. Honestly, this part is boring and tedious because it’s full of detailed measurements on h...

Are You Missing Out?

Wow, the last time I opened my blog was more than a year ago. I felt both nostalgia and disappointment as soon as I re opened my blog. I'm happy to see all my posts and how excited I was before to share the love of God in the internet. But I was disappointed at myself for stopping for a long time. If only I kept up and wrote consistently I would have reached out to more people. Although I am convicted for not persevering in this blog there is always time to restart and God has moved me to write again. The Bible tells us that: "The  Lord’s   loving kindnesses indeed never cease,  For His compassions never fail.  They  are new  every morning;  Great is  Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 I will start again and hopefully be more consistent this time only by God's unending grace :) So what's up? I just got married two weeks ago and all I've been feeling ever since is pure joy. Have you ever had the best date ever? A day f...

The Boy With a Headache

by: M.C. Manaligod Josh was finishing up for a board meeting that will commence in a few minutes. He works for a company that manufactures perfumes and sells them to big distributors in North America and in the majority of Europe. He strongly believed that the company’s sales would exponentially grow when they add ” La Coeur De Lavande ” scent in their product line. He has been preparing for this presentation since the start of the month. Josh knew that this presentation could be his chance for his long awaited promotion in the marketing department. Since Josh started as a sales agent for the prestigious perfume company, he has used his wit, confidence and enthusiasm to contribute to it's overall success. The first years were certainly undulated. He was able to close some deals but more often he was rejected. With the support of his then girlfriend and co-workers, Josh persevered and never lost faith, which led to his great success in the company. He maintained his cr...

I Can Relate

Were these words ever spoken to you? Every time I talk to my friends about my personal problems when I was younger, they always tell me those words. “I can relate” That short sentence had always given me comfort when I opened up to them. It’s an assurance that my friends were also experiencing the things I was going through. “My mom got furious about my grades in Algebra. She’s cutting the DSL, can’t go online for a week” “Hey man, I can relate. I flunked in English. My dad confiscated my PS2. Can’t play my Final Fantasy 10 ” I have more grown up problems now but whenever I heard someone who went through the same things I did, I felt comforted. It creates an atmosphere of openness and I would always tell them what I felt and the same goes for them. We would talk about the same problems and we will help each other out. It was practicing accountability. When you’re trying to quit at something like drinking alcohol, you’ll need an accountability partner who’s going thr...
