Delight


I used to work in a popular coffee shop in Canada. I was working from 10pm to 7am. Can you just imagine how tough that is? While everybody is sleeping, you're awake and making coffee. For some reason I can't understand why people drink coffee at 3am. Isn't sleeping being utilized anymore? Anyway, I had that job for almost 7 months. At my last month I decided to quit since I've been having some health issues. Some piece of advice for you guys, when it's time to sleep, just sleep. Health is NOT to compromise for money.  

Here's the story.

It was 2:30am in the morning and I was brewing some fresh pots of coffee while suddenly my good friend from church entered the store. The whole time working there, all the customers I had were drunkards and party people. I won't ever expect a good friend from church to enter that store just to say hi.  I was delighted to see him. You know that feeling when you're walking in a mall and you suddenly bump into a good friend that you haven't seen for a long time? Doesn't it feel delightful? For girls normally they would jump and scream when that happens. It's a good feeling alright. This is one of the good memories I had in this job because I felt really delighted seeing my friend. He came from his sister's house and he just dropped by to say hi. We talked for just 5 minutes and he left. I can't forget the feeling of being delighted to see someone especially while doing the kind of job I had.

It feels good to delight in someone. When you see a baby with big cheeks, you just want to look at him. When there's a little girl running around and making those cute voices, you just smile because you delight in her. You would want to look at them even while they sleep because they're just so adorable. There's something when you look at them that makes you want to smile right? I could stare at the woman of my heart the whole day because I delight in her. 

Do you know someone who delights in you? I do.

God, when He sees you, He smiles. He delights in you because He loves you. The Bible provides a lot of verses that would tell that the love of God for you and for me is incomprehensible. His love is beyond our comprehension. God loves you that much and He delights in you. 



"The lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17



I just saw this verse in the internet because I've been reading about the love of God. It says that God rejoices over you. He finds joy in you. We are all like those cute babies walking around and making those cute voices in God's sight. He delights in you and me. He loves to look at His children and see how we're doing. Even when we're sleeping, God delights in us. Isn't that amazing? That's completely amazing! When you know that God loves you that much, what would you think will ever make you fall? God delights in you and accept it. What more will He feel when you live out your life the way He intends it to be? Oh, that's beyond my imagination :)

How Have You Been?

Oh thanks for asking. You might’ve gotten worried about me because I haven’t written about anything for almost a year now. No need to worry, I’m still alive. Actually I’ve been wonderful. Lot’s have happened in my life for the past year. Let me give you an update. 1. I'm now engaged. Oh yes! You know the girl that I write about in most of my blogs? I’m now engaged to her. Smile

I worked for some time in a coffee shop. On my first day behind the cash register, my boss just told me to do two things, “say thank you and SMILE” I’m good in following orders so that’s what I did throughout my shift. At the end of my shift my boss told me that people felt good because of my smile! According to them it was warm and welcoming. Since then I would always smile when faced with a customer. To smile is the simplest yet amazing thing you could do. Actually it’s one of the best things you could do for people as well. Smiling at them will make them feel good.
