Love Song


My parent’s love song is “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You” by George Benson. My dad usually plays the song in the car when he drives mama home. My romantic dad hits play as soon mama sits beside him. Smooth moves.

“Nothing’s gonna change my love for you” is one of the sweetest love songs ever written. The message is simple yet overwhelming.

The song is amazing and if you haven’t heard of it, the chorus goes like this:

I don’t know about you but if my girl sings me this song I would go “awwwwwww” It’s a remarkable love song.

This song was released 1984. Too bad they don’t make music like this anymore. It’s noticeable that George Benson is proclaiming his love for someone and based on the lyrics, it’s one strong love. Credits to my dad, he picked a wonderful song for my mom. I just admire the love that they have for one another.

Someone who loves you so much will sing this kind of song for you, like my dad to my mom. You may have or have had someone special who sings love songs for you. Let me just tell you that there is Somebody far better than that person. This person's love is nothing compared to any lover out there. His love is perfect and it doesn't fail. He will complete your life. He is your ultimate Lover. He is God.

God say’s I love you all the time. His love doesn’t change and if there were love songs that could somehow express that kind of love, I’d say one of them would be this one.

I’ll let you read the chorus again but now I want you to read it as if it’s Jesus is the one singing it to you. He is our ultimate lover and I want you to know His ultimate love for you.

I just tried to express His love through a chorus of a song. His love can’t just be expressed through a song. Our ultimate lover expressed His love by giving us His ultimate gift, which is His life.

Guys, if you live knowing how amazing your God is you’ll be living a life worth living. That’s all you need right there. God’s love for you won’t change and you oughta know that by now. He’s not asking for anything else than your love.

I especially like the last part of the chorus:

Jesus version:

No matter what the world says and no matter what circumstance you're in, God's love will remain unchangeable.

How Have You Been?

Oh thanks for asking. You might’ve gotten worried about me because I haven’t written about anything for almost a year now. No need to worry, I’m still alive. Actually I’ve been wonderful. Lot’s have happened in my life for the past year. Let me give you an update. 1. I'm now engaged. Oh yes! You know the girl that I write about in most of my blogs? I’m now engaged to her. I worked for some time in a coffee shop. On my first day behind the cash register, my boss just told me to do two things, “say thank you and SMILE” I’m good in following orders so that’s what I did throughout my shift. At the end of my shift my boss told me that people felt good because of my smile! According to them it was warm and welcoming. Since then I would always smile when faced with a customer. To smile is the simplest yet amazing thing you could do. Actually it’s one of the best things you could do for people as well. Smiling at them will make them feel good.
